This notice explains how FAUSTINA'S SPARKLY SERVICES handles personal information when you use the website, request a quote, make a booking or apply to join the team.
1. Who we are
FAUSTINA'S SPARKLY SERVICES is the controller of personal information collected through this website and our cleaning services. Privacy enquiries can be sent to faustinaaffumdwamena@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
We may collect your name, contact details, address, postcode, booking requirements, access notes, service history, correspondence and payment references. For job applicants, we may also collect work history, availability, coverage areas and an optional CV.
3. How and why we use information
We use information to provide quotes, arrange and deliver services, manage payments, respond to enquiries, prevent double bookings, keep business records, handle complaints and recruit team members. Our legal bases may include performing a contract, taking steps at your request before a contract, complying with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business.
4. Payments
A fixed £25 booking deposit is collected through Stripe Checkout to reserve the selected date and time. Card details are entered on Stripe’s secure payment page and are not stored by this website. The actual service price is reviewed and communicated separately; payment records and Stripe references may be retained for accounting, fraud prevention and customer support.
5. Booking and hosting providers
The booking system uses Firebase services from Google for authentication and database storage, Netlify for website hosting and secure serverless functions, Stripe for deposit payments, and EmailJS for transactional messages. These providers process only the information needed to operate the relevant service.
6. Recruitment information
Applicant information is used to assess suitability, contact candidates and maintain recruitment records. Public forms do not request passports, bank details or background-check records. Those are collected later through a secure process only where necessary.
7. Retention
Enquiries that do not become bookings are normally kept for up to 12 months. Booking and payment records may be retained for up to 7 years where needed for tax, accounting or legal purposes. Unsuccessful recruitment applications are normally retained for up to 6 months unless you agree to a longer talent-pool period.
8. Sharing and international transfers
We share information only where needed with cleaners assigned to your booking, payment and technology providers, professional advisers, insurers or public authorities where legally required. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where this happens, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards are used.
9. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to certain uses of your information. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
10. Cookies and analytics
The core website uses essential browser storage for navigation and booking functionality. Non-essential analytics or marketing cookies should not be enabled until a consent choice is provided. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
11. Security and updates
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No internet service is completely secure, so please do not send highly sensitive documents through public forms. This notice may be updated when services or providers change.
